You should try a gin gin mule. You have to go to the trouble of making your own ginger beer but it's worth it.

You could do an orange and black theme with the drinks and make chocolate martinis (with maybe some orange sugar on the rims).

I make a killer mango pineapple martini that is easy to do.

Ghetto Mojitos are good but not really Halloween-ish.

Also, cherry vodka + mango pineapple juice + club soda=divine.

What flavors do you like & what's your budget?
Those are really good ideas, shez.

Well, my budget is flexible. I'm buying things EARLY. The last bit will be the cocktails. I could probably splurge a little where that is concerned, since I'm not going to buy everything at once...and by splurge I mean...40 dollars...haha, which is a splurge since it's only going to be on drinks!!

I like vodka, personally, but I want these drinks to be like, the center piece.

The orange and black idea is good!

What are your thoughts on food coloring in the drinks?

Food coloring is pretty neutral but your guests may have stained teeth/lips for the evening.

If you're going to go w/ orange and black as a theme, I don't see why you'd need it. There are tons of dark drinks and for the orange ones use something with orange or pineapple juice.

Personally, I would avoid all flavored vodkas like the plague (unless you make them yourself).

Degroff's "Harvest Moon punch" might work as well. It's apple cider and bourbon based. If you're interested i'll post the recipe later when I've got time.

Punch would be cool because you could serve it out of a hollowed out pumpkin.

I don't know that you'd need to. Unless you were worried about the possibility of pumpkin flavoring in your punch.

I had a really good punch recently...it was Cheerwine, Pineapple juice and champagne. Sounds weird, but it was delish.

I guess pumpkin IS edible, isn't it. I just wouldn't want that smell of wet pumpkin to affect the drinks....

I know! I was thinking that, too. If all else failed. Hey, martinis with eyeballs on a toothpick in stead of an olive
