I saw Ted Leo and the Pharmacists open for Death Cab for Cutie - I like DC's music more, but Ted Leo put on a much better show. I was disappointed in Death Cab that night except for a handful of songs.

I saw Clutch open for Limp Bizkit. I'd already loved Clutch at the time. I'd never heard of Limp Bizkit. After the show, I wished I still hadn't.

How exceedingly corporate. Why did I go to this?

Haha, oh man. I went to Sno-Core tour 2000:

Mr. Bungle
Incubus
System of the Down

looking back, Mr. Bungle is much better than the last 2 bands.

oh god, can't beleive I'm sharing this, but when I was 17 (in 1997) an unknown band that hadn't released their first cd named Limp Bisquit (proper english spelling)opened for Corn, they were much more entertaining, they also were douchebags (minus Wes whos Big Dumb Face cd imo was cool).

Beck concert, with MGMT opening. I already know who I'm more excited for...

question:

am I right when I pronounce that band as the word "Management"? Or do I actually have to say M-G-M-T when I refer to them?

I just heard of them recently, and all.

I called them MGMT and then this guy who seemed very confident that he was correct told me that it was actually pronounced Management, then I read something in an article about them from an actual music publication that explained how one should pronounce it MGMT and not Management.

Doors open in less than 3 hours and I'm listening to Oracular Spectacular right now Big Grin

The Blood Brothers in support of ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead at Anti-Pop in 2006. What I saw of Trail's set was rock solid, but the Brothers absolutely owned the venue that night. Opened with "Set Fire to the Face on Fire" and it was stellar from then on. Great show all around, the opening acts were good too, Celebration and Brothers & Sisters.

Giant Drag in support of Pretty Girls Make Graves. A lot of people hate GD's cover of "Wicked Game" but it absolutely destroys live. A really interesting stage dynamic for a two-piece and just all around more entertaining than PGMG.
