I think this girl will be able to function as an adult, but I don't know to what degree. She probably will need a caretaker her entire life, but I dunno.

The look in her eyes, the expressions on her face, she reminds me of my 8 year old autistic daughter. My daughter is NO WHERE near as severe as this but it's just the look in her eyes. Beyond the situation of her upbringing I wonder if she might be autistic. If her real mother only had an IQ of 70 it's possible.

sorry if this is ignorant, but i didn't think there was any correlation between a parent's iq and a child being autistic...?
