They are really good!! 4 is all hip-hop, mostly made up of Madlib's remixes he did. Has a couple of Madvillian remixes and some Nas and Jay-Z ones as well. 5 is in two parts. The first part is an eclectic mix that's hard to describe but it's really good. The second is a live mix that he did and has some dude playing trumpet throughout. Sometimes it sounds good and other times it doesn't fit in. I may upload it to the dump sometime if you'd like it. Smile

I know Madlib's latest one, Beat Konducta in India is on there. I like that one as well. And as far as I know he's only released 5 of the Mind Fusion mixes.

i bought another copy of JV's EMERALD CITY on vinyl at the show because i wanted to get him to sign it too.

on the up side it was $15 at the show and i got him, Ian, Dave, and their newest addition Daniel to sign it for me.

on the down side, i had ordered it online from Barsuk and it shipped the morning after the show so i couldnt cancel it and it cost $22

now ive got an extra, more expensive, copy that i need to decide how to honor

I boughts me Robyns self-title album. It was good. Kind of refreshing also.

I LOVED her version of JACK U OFF. I'm annoyed she bleeped out NAZI in her song, tho..

A while ago I downloaded Paul's Boutique by the Beastie Boys as lossless, then for ever I kept seeing it for real cheap in used bins. Today I saw it for $2.95 and just fucking bought it. That's a hella deal.

I just got the 3 disc version of PINK FLOYD's PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN 40th Anniversary release.

Mainly for the MONO version of the album. Some of the tracks were mixed a bit differently than the stereo versions.

I already owned the stereo release and the 3 disc has material on it that I've also previously owned in a bootleg capacity. Nice to have properly mixed versions though.

I also picked up the DVD-A release of PORCUPINE TREE's FEAR OF A BLANK PLANET. Well, I pre-ordered it. It's coming out OCT 1.

Haven't had time to really go out and spend.

Mr. Bungle - "Mr Bungle" (cashier said it's one of his favorite albums. So far, seems disapointing compared to "Disco Volante".)

Animal Collecive - "Strawberry Jam" (awesome artwork. Haven't listened to it yet.)

Today!

Scratch Acid - The Greatest Gift
Grey Daturas - Dead In The Woods
Clockclean er - Babylon Rules
Andremusic - Demo

and in the mail:

Nicholas Szczepanik - Astilbe Rubra

Thanks Pickle! Can't wait to put it on.
My little brother said "is this like some kind of independant artist or something?" and I was like "Yeah, it's my pal" and he's like "woah... so he made all this? It looks awesome!" Then he asked me what kind of music it is... he didn't really comprehend. I'm about to play it while he plays his playstation, so I may have some gold later. Big Grin

Thanks again Nick. Smile
