Best things - max power, Brain, Meghan Z, close to Canada.

Worst things - not as good as old England.

Good luck with the interview! Smile

people say they hate the weather - i say bring on 4 defined seasons, please.

people say new englanders are rude or cold - i honestly don't see this. you might not get a hug from a stranger at the grocery store, but people are nice here.

food - you will probably have to sacrifice some comfort food if you're coming from the south or midwest....but you'll get awesome seafood in exchange.

it's (in my opinion) the most beautiful part of the united states.

i'd never live anywhere else. Smile

Most of the country has 4 defined seasons.

And the last comment, well that's just crazy talk (opinion).

i miss the seafood and the comfortable summers. depending on where you are the fall colors are awesome, too. and the cute little towns.
what i don't miss: the winter hangs on forfuckingever. it's beautiful for a while-- i love the starkness and the quiet, but by april and may you should be able to count on the weather being pretty decent and it's NOT. spring is not as nice there as it is in the south.

Funspot is up there too, in New Hampshire. That's all you really need. But then again, I'm a nerd.

Yeah, I loved King of Kong. Very fun movie.

I actually live in Virginia, but have spent my past 3 vacations in the Lake Winnipesaukee area, mainly just for Funspot. I know that makes me a huge nerd, but it truly is one of the only nice arcades left in the country period.

i will definitely admit that some of the most beautiful springs i experienced were in kansas. god, i loved spring in kansas. but i love april and may here, too. you know that robert frost poem that's in the outsiders? "nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold, her early leaf's a flower, but only so an hour..." that's spring in new england to me. after a long winter, when everything buds, it's just...breath taking.

The first time I went I actually stayed in Concord, NH and the most recent time we stayed in some cottages right behind the boardwalk of Weirs Beach.

Something has to be said for Maine too. The whole state feels like a quaint, serene, small town! And obviously Acadia national park bitch-slapped me with it's gorgeousness.

we had horrible flooding this spring, and the weirs got slammed.

i keep telling myself i need to take a weekend and just go explore maine. i can literally see kittery from my apartment, but i've never really spent any time in maine, especially northern maine.

Thanks. Smile

I'll be in Boston but driving into Manchester, NH and Burlington, VT. One interview in each town/city.

I'm from the southeastern US (born and raised). Living in LA now. We have four seasons here: spring, summer, hurricane season, and two weeks for christmas. Frown

i agree on having the 4 real seasons. i don't like seafood, though.

Robert Frost makes me want to go to New England. In the fall, of course. I love Robert Frost.
