yeah...so to be honest this is one of the worst years of my life thus far.

BUT

there are always good moments, no matter how shitty things get. My list:

-finally going to college
-being totally blown away by the NIN concert at Bonnaroo. I don't pay too much attention to them and definitely didn't expect something that amazing.
-seeing the Lips in concert and them playing Enthusiasm For Life..., and Bad Days
-Embryonic
-moving back around my family and friends and being able to take care of my Gma (not all the time, but just being able to see her is awesome)
-The Ren Fest
-still being very happy and confident in my relationship
-Going camping at a BEAUTIFUL spot in CO, and seeing bears, foxes, hearing coyotes, watching the sunrise, etc.

I bought ONE CD this entire year. And the kindly and handsome young man who I bought it off of threw in another disc because he is a good shit. I was given discs by friends of mine who finished records. They are fabulous cuz I hang with fab peeps.

So, here's my list of new music for this year:
1) The Stew Gunn Band WINTER OF MY DISCONTENT
1) Nicholas Szczepanik THE CHIASMUS
1) Celer CLOSE PROXIMITY AND THE UNHINDERED CARE-ALL
1) The GLOW
1) Friendly Rich and the Lollipop People PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION
1) Devin and the Dark Light LOUD TO LIVE WITH

And pretty much everything else I heard this year was old. And no one wants to hear aboot old things from an old guy. I also heard buts of lots of new albums, but seeing as I listened to very few of them in full, I won't list them either.

But I will give a special mention to Sylvester Anfang II for being one of my fave things LENT to me this year.

Oh wait, I lie. I also bought Child Bite's new album this year, which was fucking bad ass.
