I am really looking forward to seeing this film, it was the first book I ever read and was responsible for my love of Roald Dahl.
Yes, it would have been nice if some of the characters had UK regional accents, (I'm lead to believe that Bogis Bunce & Bean are all English and utterly dastardly as is only right and proper) but as a US production i don't think it was ever going to happen, if they went with thick black country accents then no-one in America (or certain parts of Britain) would be able to understand it. I really liked it. I thought what with it not being live action it might not feel like a wes anderson film but it does. I couldn't care less about the animals being American and the humans being Brits (I've spoken to some people who've had an issue with this). Clooney's easy charm tranfers well, in fact I liked all the voices although there was not enough Murray. As you can probably tell, I was quite taken by the film. Sorry if this doesn't read too well, I've done this from my iphone.
