I saw him on Letterman not long ago and he was kinda funny and likable. Back when he was "retired." Roll Eyes

Now, Greta Van Susteren, WTF?

I think he's making a huge mistake.

What a lot of people don't realize, and maybe I hear about it more since I'm in Minnesota, is that he's selfishly strung his team along every offseason for quite a while on whether he'll play again or not.
This time around, he retired, the Fackers drafted QBs to flank Rodgers, and were looking to move on. He played the bitch again, and he's not getting his way. I love it.

i'm glad GB is holding the line.

i mean....if i retire, can i just come back here and expect my old job back? Confused

maybe that's oversimplifying it, but yah.

No, that's pretty much it.

They told him he'd have A job....just not the starting job. Fair enough. This "Don't bench a legend" bullshit is insane.

Yeah, he's being a big douche about this whole thing.

as far as him being benched, he should've been benched years ago. Rodgers was always GB's planned replacement for Brett and he's been waiting for his shot for quite some time.

oh well, i'm an Eagles fan and i have my own QB issues to worry about.

He cried all those times he retired before.
I'll never trust his tears again, they burn too deep.

indeed.

I'm not sure if you're a Vikings fan, but that Defense they have should be pretty dominating this year. you guys have one of, if not the best pure rusher in the league... if you don't make the playoffs, i'll be shocked. QB (and i can't remember what you've done at the WR position) are the only soft spots.

Yeah. I am....for better or worse. Should be an interesting season. Our D is great, but that don't mean shit if we can't put up points!

Wink i love ya

I'm a huge McNabb fan as well. I say we go as far as He, Westbrook and our Defense takes us this year. McNabb will start, i just hope he stays healthy. I agree, Philly fans are pretty ridiculous.

I agree Punch, if you guys have a decent offense to go along with that D, you guys are dangerous and should win your division. maybe even rep the NFC in the bowl.

I've always wondered why the media loved the guy as much as they did. I mean, he has literally done this "Am I going to retire? Am I not? I really don't know! Follow me on my selfish journey!"

He's done that for the past 4-5 years. I mean, hell, the Packers drafted Rodgers 4 years ago because they thought Favre was done. And the media kept saying, "What a guy."

"America's favorite player in America's favorite sport."

"Overcome so much...he's like an everyman."

No, he's always been a douche. Always. And now he's talking about his legacy? If he were an "everyman" like the media portrayed him as while they verbally fellated him the past 15 years, he wouldn't care about his legacy. His legacy would be second to returning home and living with his family, working on the farm...y'know...everyman stuff?

I've always been on the fence in the "Do I hate Favre himself or do I just hate the way the media collectively wants to buttfuck him?"

I always thought it was the latter, but with this interview, it has completely pushed me over the edge.

Fuck Favre. Fuck ESPN. Fuck NFL announcers. And...fuck gunslingers, looks like a kid out there, just having fun, and what a guy...fuck them in the ear.
