I don't like The Big Lebowski. Never even knew there was an Eagles-diss in the film. Now the first two pages of this thread make sense.

I can't think of one Eagles song I mildly enjoy, and Golden Girl's very cruel reminder of "Heartache Tonight" is the first low-point of 2009.

That wasn't right, Golden Girl. Remove it from my memory please.

sorry emp but i had to pull out all the stops to help scientifically prove the theory that the Eagles are bastards. they weren't always bastards, but that's not what was postulated here.

the best i can do to remove it from your memory is to have it kicked out with a similarly-themed song from around the same time. the Buzzcocks will do the honors.

I ran into Smokey at Thundercloud Subs the other day. I was tempted to yell, "Over the line!" at him, but I didn't.

Seeing Smokey at the sub shop (or anywhere really) would have been an awesome treat!

Down here in the Tampa area though, the press doesn't hate the Eagles, but their fans.
(The press doesn't seem too thrilled with anything to do with Pennsylvania)

weird....i just heard on npr that the former (current, maybe-- not sure) manager of THE EAGLES is now the CEO of TICKETMASTER.
