It's been a few years since I read it, but what I got from the ending is that the whole story was a construction within the mind of a mentally ill person.

What's your interpretation?

I think the last issue shows the inside of Crazy Jane's mind as she fights to not let go of her insanity, and eventually caves in and returns to a normal, uneventful life. But every event before and after that, did happen. It isn't a construction of her imagination.

Which makes the series an overall statement about how weirdness & craziness just aren't mean to this world, and will eventually be forced to turn into normality, or dissapear into another plane, like it happens when Cliff takes Jane away.

I actually think it is one of my favorite Grant Morrison endings.

Batman & Robin # 6

Man... this makes me wish soooooo much that the whole arc had art by Quitely

Frown

Also, it seems J.H. Williams III is taking a break ( i hope not leaving) Detective Comics.

Still, his replacement, Jock, is a great artist too:

Detective Comics 859

I just re-read Batman RIP. I think i liked it even more this time, now that i can enjoy it without all the guessing that took place during those months.

Everyone should read Sleeper by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.

Imagine The Departed, except on an international scale and with superpowers. It's phenomenal, paranoid, perfect. Every bit as good as Criminal. Check it out.

So today as a birthday present to myself I bought the Criminal Omnibus! And what's more, they gave me an employee discount of 30% on everything I got today! Awesome!

That looks sweet. What is in it?

Also, if you dig Criminal, check out Sleeper. Seriously.

The first three books, Coward, Lawless, and The Dead and the Dying. Plus articles, illustrations, behind the scenes art sections and short stories.

I checked out the first issue of Incognito which was a new series the same creative team started earlier this year but wasn't too impressed.

The newest book, The Sinners is fantastic though. But there's only been one issue so far.

Oh, man. John Ostrander's issue of Secret Six gave so much insight into Floyd. I loved it. He's such a great character, extremely violent, with no grips about it, but still as human as any.
