It's actually very Neil Gaiman-esque. I wasn't expecting that.

I love DD. He's great.

That Ra's/Tim has the potential for a lot of good things.

My brother dropped off Superman: New Krypton and Grant Morrison's JLA Volume 2 today. I guess I will read them in a few weeks.

I still haven't finished Superman: Red Son.

I read Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? last night, and all I can say is wow. It is up there with Batman: Year One and All * Star Superman as my favorite comics ever. I loved all the characters, all the cameos, all the art styles, everything was perfect.

As soon as I finished the Catwoman story I said there is no way that they can top this, and they did with each following story. The Alfred Story was phenomenal, but the little Clayface clip broke my heart.

And then when Martha came out I was in tears. Wow, this is a great comic. I love that I could recognize almost everything in all of those pages that payed homage to all of the different Batman stories. Batman saving the cat from Batman: Year One was my favorite.

I still can't believe how touching his goodnight's were.

"Goodnight giant penny."

I still haven't read the second issue of that.

Preacher Vol. 1, however, was phenomenal. Just a great horror story.

Damn, ignore what I said then because I didn't mean to spoil any of it for you.

Seriously, I am always the last one here with the comics because I wait for the trades.

But that's the thing, it doesn't seem fucked up for the sake of being fucked up, because that would quickly grow tiring. Ennis is using the fucked up-ness to make a larger point.

Well, yes, you're right, considering his other material outside of Preacher.

I meant fucked up as it relates to the universe contained within Preacher.

Punisher & The Boys are great, and have a point too.
