Saw it last night. Tickets were in plastic zip bags and perforated on blotter paper. Is there something more to this...?

Is it really a piece of paper with tiny icons printed on each square? Yes, that is exactly what it is!!!

honestly, the lips would never jeopardize themeselves like that would they?

Interestingly though, I continually get mixed signals from the band because I hear Wayne talking about drugs getting in the way of what your mind can already do by itself, etc... but then there is a lot of seemingly deliberate pro-use rhetoric as well. I guess in the end, the Lips are "there for their fans" more than anything, and I'd assume that a majority of their fans are users, so to each their own.

i got the chance to talk to wayne about taking acid for the film, and he seemed happy about it. it's weird, but after he told me how he and his brothers would take lots of drugs and watch late night movies and such all summer long, i understood better what he was saying. i think just exploring that kind of stuff can be a worthwhile experience, especially when you're young. in the long run, though, drugs won't sustain you. i think they have a time and a place.

I thought it was incredible. Seriously.

There were some parts which were almost laughably terrible, but that really made the movie for me. Really made the whole B-movie vibe.

Thanks guys for bringing the movie.. it was incredible and I am happy to say that I saw this genius movie twice while at wakarusa. It was such a buzz kill to come back home but I must say that the Flaming Lips are my happy thought.. I can't wait until 10K

Ha! We we would be the kids who were laughing and holding each others eyes the second night during the whole movie.
