When I ordered, that's the date it gave me. Then to be sure, I emailed Warner Bros and asked about it, this is what they sent me:

I feel the exact same way. Amazon changed the date, too (though I ordered it through this here Lips site). I've had to take drastic measures and add it to the top spot in my Netflix queue. I can't believe it.

yeah, i'm pretty bummed about this. amazon.com fucking blows when it comes to pre-ordering things, because yeah, you're guaranteed the copy, but you still have to wait the extra week or two for it to ship to you.
at least, from my past experiences.
i ordered from WB this time, but i'm guessing they'll ship that day. hopefully i'm wrong. i'm dying to watch the fucking thing and i'm so tempted to just go buy one by itself.
Sold some junk vinyl that I didn't want, a couple of DVDs and a book on a musician that I don't care about.
I was thinking that I would buy the DVD/CD combo, and later on give the delayed vinyl DVD to a friend. As I stood there holding it, I realized that I'm not going to buy this thing twice and double up Warner's money because they can't schedule their shit properly.
And also, as much as I've been looking forward to this movie, I don't necessarily have high hopes for it. If I think the movie sucks I'm going to feel like a sucker for shelling out $56 on it.
So I got some new non Lips music instead. I've waited 7 years, a couple more weeks ain't gonna kill me.

amen.
i mean, it's lame that everyone else is watching it now, but i didn't really plan on watching it with a ton of people or anything anyway. so it'll be rad whenever i get it, but i can't afford to be obsessive right now.
