Release Date!!! Theater Screenings!!!

You've waited forever for it. You know what it's about now. You know about the screenings. But you're still wondering when, exactly, you can own the Flaming Lips' Christmas on Mars on sweet, sweet DVD.

Finally, we've got an answer for you. Warner Bros. will release the sci-fi/holiday/fantasy/space/drug adventure for home consumption not in October, as previously planned, but on November 11.

In addition to the 86-minute movie, the DVD will include bonus features in the form of interviews with band members and a featurette called From Drawings to a Movie: Inside Wayne's Endless Yellow Notepad, detailing the process by which Lips frontman Wayne Coyne developed his original idea into a feature-length film.

A deluxe version of the DVD will also be available, packaged with a CD of the film's soundtrack. According to Billboard.com and confirmed by Warner Bros., the soundtrack will include such sure-to-be hits as "The Gleaming Armament of Marching Genitalia" and "In Excelsior Vaginalistic". Ewww.
