Wayne is supposed to be there according to Kliph. While it would be cool to see this movie this summer, and Bonnaroo is the closest place to view it so far (from where I live, Florida).
I would never dream of paying Bonnaroo any money. This year in particular. I have gone the past two years and I can say that each year the vibes and overall mindset of the general festival goer has gone right down the drain.
They have a few okay show's this year from the looks of the schedule, but still is not worth dealing with that huge ticket price and dealing with 80,000 people whom most of which are terrible people.
I wish you the most of luck if your going. I hope you REALLY do have a fun time. Bonnaroo and me just don't mix, but I'm an anxiety ridden flaming lips fan who's happiest when the fans around him are actually people he agree's with and not drunk assholes who walk away from shows because Wayne wants to talk.
Do tell us how the CoM goes though!

I'll be there, but seeing CoM is conflicting with the Phil Lesh set. If I'm going to sit in a car for 12 hours to get there, it's to see Phil. Hopefully they might show it more than once.

Don't wait for the DVD on this one! The overall experience, for me, will never be duplicated on a set at home. I doubt Wayne will personally welcome you to your living room showing either...
Big Grin

By the way, the production is pretty huge with the tent, all the equipment, and a generator to run the show only once. You will get more than one chance to see it, just make sure you meet up with a roadie to find out when the show times are and when the tickets are going to be distributed.

Lucky for me I only had to miss The Cure. I'd be a much harder choice to miss Phil Lesh, but I agree with the above.. don't miss the film in the tent!

Phil will likely be on next years festival circuit... CoM? I kind-a doubt it!

Each Phil show is a once in a liftime experience. Seeing as that he plays about four hours not including set break, and that this one might go on till the crack of dawn, I gotta keep my priorities straight.
What has the overall review been on the movie? If it is shown more than once, is Wayne going to be there for any other possible showings? Maybe if there is no game 5 on Sunday night, we might get lucky and get another viewing. I would'nt mind missing Widespread to see it.

Haven't seen any main stream reviews yet... not interested either.

My review? If you are a real sci fi fan(like 2001, not like Armageddon), you should easily appreciate this movie. After the movie, you can head back on over and catch the last 17 hours of the Phil set?

~200 tickets per show... They are free- you just have to know when they are being handed out. There is a "boxoffice" at the tent- come hungry and eat your own spaceship! Smile

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking and what I DID, only to be bummed out twice by the short circuiting of Phil's show for Kayne's "Glow in the Dark" show and being told Wayne was present for the viewing of this movie. Bonnaroo is great, except for the fact that one must make such difficult decisions... OK choosing Phil & Friends wasn't that difficult but I really wanted to see Christmas On Mars and Wayne AND Phil, if possible. My idea is that Wayne could have come to Phil's show (after introducing his movie) to explain the whole schedule change/Kayne thing and then they could have done "Unbroken Chain" (I choose this song 'cause it's off the "Mars Hotel" album and they played it that night)> "Moonlight Mile" to end Phil's show, together, that would have eased my pain, slightly (at least until the Kayne debacle, which didn't come together until 4:30 am, anyway).
