Got mine today too. Really nice package! Silent Night is a real beaut! Nice to hear the other song in full finally too. I still want to know where the hell that full xylophone tune from the movie is! It's not on the 7" version of Silent Night, as I thought it might be (since there's some more xylophone foolery on the version of Silent Night in the movie soundtrack (am I rambling enough?))...

Hey, so I'm planning on buying the vinyl but I probably won't have any money to do so until post-Christmas and since these are Christmas related songs that I'd like to have before could anyone rip and upload the tracks off the 7"????

Mine came in the mail today too. Looks like I'll be getting a second one in the mail Wednesday. Oh well, I know somebody who will buy it off me, no biggie.

Surprise of surprises, I got mine in the mail yesterday, despite the fact that WB had sent me an e-mail stating they'd ship in 30 days. Anyway, I love it!

I wish that they'd thought to copy Wayne's story board drawings and include them as a big booklet with the vinyl package. I think Wayne's drawings are so expressive.

Do you know if ones being sold at Amazon ( or anywhere else for that matter) will have the bonus 7"? With all the problems I have seen mentioned, I am wary of ordering it through WB.

Yes, I was thrown by that at first. I think it's a scene later in the film with Wayne and Steven walking together. They are either walking towards or away from the camera.

I asked WB customer service if the standard edition sold in stores would be the same as the pre-order one, and they said yes. So it should make no difference where you buy it from. After canceling my order, the vinyl showed up yesterday. Which is fine, because I still want it, I was just pissed at Warner.

I don't see myself playing the record very much. In parts, it sounds like backing tracks for unfinished songs. There are a couple of nice bits, but it's just not something that I would listen to very often. My favorite part is definitely Silent Night-Lord Can You Hear Me. That alone makes the entire package worth it.

I was also pleased to see that the DVD came in a picture sleeve, and not a plain white envelope.

Is anyone going to be awsome and rip the 7"? My "rig" is not capable of such things.

Oh, one more thing to bitch about:

My record will NOT slide back into the cover. That thing is too fucking tight to get it back in without the sleeve getting all bent and crimped up. I put the cover in a poly outer sleeve and just slipped the record inbetween the back cover and the poly.

I agree with both of these comments.

if anyone could by any chance rip the 3 tracks of the 7" single to mp3 or whatever, it would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered my copy immediately as it was available for sale/pre-order, because I wanted to put all 3 tracks on this Christmas cd thing for my mother (a thing I do every year for her), and chances are it won't be here before she leaves back home for Christmas.

I know this is kind of a hard thing to ask, and shifty to considering it's on the Lips' official message board, but it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping somebody will post a digital version of the 7" as well, since I'd actually like to listen to it on other sound sources.

Stealing the regular soundtrack should be easy enough.

A download coupon sure would've been nice.

Cduniverse seems to have the 7" in stock by itself.
