Looks like the opener is a dj, who is performing in the tent there...on his myspace he lists his start time as 5, but I have seen 6 posted as gates opening time....

I was gonna do this show, was at last years' one and it was good, but alas babysitting and pizza won! haha!

thank you flaming lips, and crew, and festival pier....it was the best show I have seen at this typically subpar(?) venue......nice job!

was reading the other new board this am, seeing that people are pissed off by the show being shitcanned.....

I don't think they should have cut any of the opening acts! I came for a full stardeath set, and explosions....

The forecast all day was off, I was watching it like a hawk...No one knew 100% that we were gonna catch that storm......

Having seen lots of Lip's shows in the last few years.....I felt last night's performance was very very good, focused, and energetic. I can honestly say I was satisfied musically......

Have to disagree about the comment on stardeath's sound....I have a protip: being in the front is great to see everything, but it will never sound as good as if you move back 10-15 rows.....that is the sweet spot....Stardeath sounded perfect from there...and sometimes I have felt they play too loud....not last night....The lips set sound wise was fantastic......loud/clear, and up front the audience was into it.........

did I want more? Yes! But I always do.....

Do I understand that shit happens that is outside wayne's control? fuck yeah!

Feel ripped off and want something for the rain ruining your evening? I suggest supporting the band next time they are in philly.....something will be played or done to recognize the fact that we all got rained out.

There is no band that cares more for their audience, both in terms of providing happiness, or ensuring safety.

I have been to some concerts that should have been stopped due to lightning and weren't.....all it takes is one random bolt, and many people's lives change forever. Not worth it!

I seriously considered coming back to philly for this show (about 8 hours drive both directions). Knowing what I know now, I'm glad I didn't (cause of the rain/ cancellation). I bet they'll feel bad about it and reschedule a make-up like show.

Well you can't help the weather.

I can't believe all the negative talk about Star Death though..



I have enjoyed every show of theirs, i have seen.
