Get there early and walk around to Flaming Lips Alley, Go tubing at the baseball stadium...ect..
Hotel rooms on the other hand, Idk...we stayed with friends the first year, and then last year we split a huge ass hotel room with a shitload of people. Hope that helped out some.  And you don't need to know anything except have fun!! |

I'm in. My money's kind of fucked due to some people dicking me around. I'm hoping to get the flow together to get my pack of tickets for NYE and one for Columbus on Friday. I'm so fucking broke right now as far as what's in my wallet/checking account.

that being said I went ahead and booked the 4 Presidential suites at the Colcord Hotel.....I figure on the last day I will pull the whole fly in my soup routine.....weekend comp'd!
but seriously.....there is no cheaper ticket price to see the lips, plus it is NYE, they go all out.....and if you pitch in together a nice room close by isn't bad....no driving after the show! |

I will get everything in order after tickets are bought! There really is no better way to spend a NYE. I just love it, and love Oklahoma, and Love the lips. Hell I even love you guys. hehe....awe.... |

we're in the same boat... but the tickets are super cheap... will get those now... squirrel away gas money, eat a lot of pb&j on the road, and hope we can either priceline a hotel at some point, or there will be a bunch of us in the same boat all crashing in a room somewhere. We've got ages to worry about/regret not being able to afford this |

I was joking about the colcord....I did make reservs....but that required no money down at this point.....and I have to save for airfare, and hope it doesn't go up much....right now is actually pretty cheap for my flight.... |

money... ughhh. This year we are going to find a nice motel outside of town for NYEE, then check in to the colcord on NYE day. I can't afford the room either, but well worth it to not have to be on the road. (and that hotel is bad a$$ anyway- F' the sheraton!) Also helps that the lips have such a reasonable ticket price as well. |
