Flaming Lips play the Marymoor Aug. 21.

The eclectic rock band rounds out the lineup at the Concerts at Marymoor, two months of concerts at the King County park, which includes such hot tickets as Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists, The Pretenders, Flogging Molly and Duran Duran.

Kinda nice for me as Marymoor's less than 10 min from home.

I'm not a regular concertgoer, so I don't know all the ins and outs and hoops, but why is it that only the Concerts at Marymoor site has a date for the Lips (time TBD), but this official site doesn't mention it, nor does Pollstar, nor Ticketmaster? I'm worried that this is a rumor being run with as fact.

Guess we'll find out in seven days huh?

I think there are other concerns with this venue.

Some of the shows the front seats are reserved GA is in the back.

The Decemberists are all GA and tix are $35.

The fucking Counting Crows are $80 plus a $10 fee!

Duran Duran $80 +10

Death Cab 2 nights GA $35 + 10

Foreigner $150 (You'll wish you were deaf)

Pretenders $65

Flaming Lips $ ???

It appears that they are doing the digital bundle for Red Rocks too, Doug. Maybe this will be a tour-wide promotion? Neat way to get the people going to shows before the album comes out familiar with some of the material, not to mention the recording of the show, wowzers!

a couple more baby steps and they could set up a summer tour server, charge whatever per show, let us all in on the fun, no matter if we bought a ticket or not....
