Looks like the Lips are returning to Red Rocks! Ticketmaster. Tickets on sale Saturday, June 20 at 10AM Mountain Time.

And via the Denver Post, the openers are Explosions In The Sky and Stardeath and White Dwarfs!

And this show has the same deal with the digital downloads:

*Three new, unreleased songs from the upcoming album
*Three B-sides hand-picked by Coyne
*A live audio recording of this Red Rocks show.

I just posted something quite similiar to to this on another thread... I'm trying to actively "walk" as training, but I about feel like I need one of those hyperbaric chambers to sleep in or something to get my lungs ready.

We just lost a person in our trip, Sterling, we're coming from Abilene. Were gonna leave Saturday morning. Any desire to just come with us? (as long as you aren't creepy, of course :-)

So that brings me to my next point -- I now have a lonely GA ticket with no owner. It's too soon to mail it so if you are interested, I would only need to recoop the price of the ticket (like $50) and that would save the poor college student it previously belonged to the problem of trying to still pay for it.

If you are interested - like I say, we're leaving on Saturday morning, but plan on queuing up pretty early on Sunday so just find me in line (I'm pretty hard to miss... :-)

My email is liz.berry at hotmail.com
cell is 325-864-3843

I appreciate the offer but I'm driving up with 4 other friends and then camping for a few days afterwards. Hopefully I'll see you there though!

Aww, thanks for trying to sell my ticket, but you know I'll pay you for it. Money is evil, it's making me miss the show. I hope you have extra fun for me! Big Grin

I felt some serious love... there was some stupid shit I had to get past to get there, but once I was there, I just tried to let go and let the Lips take me and they did just that... My husband bowed out at the last second, so I was there with some others, but in the end, the gentleman who ended up next me ("butters") and I shared a Yoshimi sing a long w/ arms clasped & upraised and lots of "Do you realize?" hugs... he probably helped me have a good time more than anything -- can't argue with something making so many people happy at the same time.

The line wait was saved by two lovely gentleman - Brad and Sam - who had tarped stretched over the handrails in line and let me & my party share their shade.

The security was also very nice AND competant (seems like you usually can't have both if even either one!)

Excellent time -

the ticket ended up going to a friend of my sister-in-law and just called it "good" & didn't make her pay for it since she was letting me stay w/ her.

1483 miles later

Silver trembling hands was great. Very intense and sets a haunting, mysterious mood also seems like the crowd chants with more passion than Yeah Yeah Yeah. Its great hearing Stevens yell.. He seemed pissed off though?

Kliph kicked ass.

Wayne seemed to talk very little between songs messed with us a little bit on fight test and really got us going during trembling hands.

Explosions in the sky set the mood perfectly with a very intense set of nothing but assaulting their instruments. I think they were trying to knock the rocks down. I am going to find some if their tunes.

Sorry can't remeber set list, It all blurs together towards the end and am really looking forward to getting the MP3 of it.

Great show.
