By now it's old news that FL is one of the headliners of monster jam fest Summer Camp in IL. At an incredible venue with the energy of tens of thousands of happy music lovers, FL will be better than ever before.

Anyone interested in going to the best fest of the summer? What do you think about this lineup?

Can't decide if I want to go to this...
I'd go for Flaming Lips and Girl talk, and Funkadelic + New Pornographers would be fun too, but everything else I either don't know or don't like.

I still like the idea of seeing the first Lips show of the year...

but I really really wish they were bringing the movie to every festival they play, hard to think about missing the movie debut just a week later but that is just too darn far away at $4+ per gallon.

like i said on the other thread for this, i would be there but for my buckethead trip to brew city and chitown the next week. I love buckethead and "That One Guy", but it loses its appeal a little bit every time I start thinking about Summer Camp and the Flips.

Just found out the Lips will be there.
Too bad they don't sell one day passes for the budget challenged like me.

No matter how hard I try, I cant get my group to help defray the costs of this extra trip with me. All hope is lost. It is lonely being the only flips lover among Primus lovers. Buckethead wins again. I hate them being so close to Evansville and not seeing them. Maybe next year....bonaroo maybe?

The Lips show there wasn't their best techinical feat, but the way they interacted with everyone and got everybody into it>which were largely a lot of moe. kids and umphfreaks who didn't know what to really expect< was pretty amazing to watch. Moutainside was definitely a highlight of the evening for me!!
