So, I don't know how many people here normally dress up when they go to a Lips show, but I do and was wondering.....how many of you guys do dress up?

Also, anyone ever heard of such thing as a "pocket outlet"? Something that could run off batteries to power something like christmas lights?

They make battery powered christmas lights

Spoiler alert: they are not fun to wear

By the time you've bled to death you may have got the knife out of your pocket and be waving it at passers-by. | Registered: September 24, 2003Reply With QuoteEdit or Delete MessageReport This Post

LOL, with the lack of Christmas we've been having so far, I don't think I'd be able to find any of those!!!

Still...nobody responded as to whether or not they dressed up....

I only dressed up once: Lips/White Stripes. NYE 2000-something. It was an Armani suit...possibly Versace. Pretty uncomfortable dancing around in a suit, plus after the show it looked like I was raped by Rip Taylor (he's a comedian whose stock-in-trade was to shower his audience with confetti, kids).

May I also comment on how alluring you were in that Jerry Garcia t-shirt?

I dress up for pretty much every show I've been to. Personally, I think it gets people even more excited for the Lips experience. It's a lot of fun too, and I'm pretty sure Wayne encourages it. Wink

Of course you can!

Sorry I didn't turn out to be that weird-looking guy in the bad jacket you guys saw at the airport. I'll try harder next time.

I'll be at Pitchfork! idk if i'll have a costume. Hopefully I can get on stage and be a teletubby!

Where did you hear that it's supposed to rain? weather.com says high of 80 all three days with 10% chance of rain, which is fine.

I went with 'acoutrements' for red rocks, due to time constraints, weather concerns, space constraints, but I had glow in the dark pink hair and pink and purple fiber optic hair lights. I'm currently hoping that NYE will happen. we're making the trek this year. I have the costume already planned for it. Can't get hubby to go along though.

Ah yes, I think I saw you or someone you were with.

I had those fiber optic thingies in my braids - they're awesome.
