This has already been discussed, but I wanted to go ahead and make it its own topic:

I know it seems like every year the idea of meeting before New Year's is brought up and it may or may not have happened, but this year there are a lot of cool peeps coming that may not have come before or in awhile and I for one would really like to meet them.

So - the idea was first put forth that we eat the night before. A buffet place would seem appropriate since it might be a hardship on any restaurant we end up at to serve a large crowd.

THEN it was suggested that we just sing karaoke. I <3 karaoke. I wouldn't object to this at all.

BUT then it was suggested that such places w/ karaoke also usually have 21+ rules and this could present a problem for several of the previously willing in our midst.

So... any ideas? Happy mediums? Restaurants w/ karaoke?

I found a place called Bon-Jom Korean restaurant... it has food AND karaoke. Need to check in to it.

huh. go away for a few days and look what happens. last I saw it was between a buffet and mexican with a bar. korean karaoke? Should be interesting. 't'aint singin' tho. you all don't wanna hear that.

I don't know what it is now... The Korean place won't answer the phone when I call and no one I know who lives up there can verify if it's even still open. I was up there this weekend but there wasn't enough time to check... so I have no idea what we're doing now.
