I wonder if Michael plays any bass on the new album and if Wayne plays any guitar? Or is it all Steven (excluding the tracks Kliph plays on)? |

Agreed. And if you begin to read more interviews, they all seem to merge into one. |

I think I prefer the Velvet Underground solo over the Powerless one. It just sounds like he's playing one string and pressing down on random frets. I think that would be my least favorite part of the album. Steven's just so talented...there are plenty of things he could have done other than an under par guitar solo. Since when did the Lips even need a solo? |

Maybe it is Wayne playing on Powerless. Either way, I still think it's a lousy solo. I love the album, but I really think that part is on the verge of being mediocre. |

I've notice a pretty silly thing during my last few listens of "The Impulse." If you listen closely after the first set of "Just trying, trying, trying, trying..." I SWEAR I can hear steven say "fucking aye" and then trailing off. Anyone else notice?

Yes. That and a lot of journalists take the "what's next for wacky Wayne Coyne!?" perspective with their interviews...which can be interesting if I sit down and read them to see Wayne on some existential rant about vibrating panties but still. |
