I just downloaded the song "Zero to a Million" from the box. I had never even heard of this song before. It's fucking fantastic.

All I can find out about it is it was an outtake from the "Hit to Death" sessions. Although it wouldn't really have fit on that album, it may be the best unreleased song I've ever heard. Its criminal that it never got to see the light of day.

Incidentally, I love finding stuff like this (unreleased/unknown flaming lips tracks). Viva the box!

You should hear Kliph's version that he recorded for the Non Lips Volume 2 tribute compilation.

Been compiling all my Lips recordings onto a new harddrive and I found a folder called 'Mushroom Demos' that is actually 21 tracks and includes "Can't Stop the Spring". I can't find a tracklisting for it anywhere though so....

I'm going to compare track w the set and see if I can find anything that's new.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's more of the Mushroom Tapes that wasn't released on the box, but I haven't heard the bootleg in like 9 years, so I don't remember. Razz

Yes, I probably should. How would one go about doing so? Red Face
