I've got a baseball/trucker(ish) hat that I got before Hit to Death came out. It's the ugliest thing in the world, but on a website that I can't seem to find now they listed it as the first major label promo item ever issued for the band. Anyone else have one or know anything about it? It's trucker hattish in style but has no hair "breathe holes". It's black with a big pair of embroidered lips on the front and The Flaming Lips stitched on back above the hat adjuster strap. It's way too off-putting to wear so it remains in pristine condition and i'm thinking of putting in on eBay soon. Maybe I'll post pix soon. Thought a thread on this might help folks like me with too much junk spread the wealth to the uberfans.

is this the Mooneyham behind the graphic design of "Hit to Death in the Future Head?" If so, I have been a fan of you for a long fuckin' time. Thank you!

not the same, but he is an old friend of mine. last I heard he was stilling working in music w/ Gallery Thirteen, The Melodious Thunk Infinitet, etc. I don't know if he still has Fate Discorporate his graphic design company running anymore. He is one of smartest and nicest guy you ever want to meet. I wish he would post some of the interviews he did back in the day. The man talked to Nick Cave for God's sake!

I bought a bunch of Mooneyham's old Stereolab vinyls which he sold off a year or so ago, quite a score that. Anyone else remembers or used to watch Adjust Your Heads back in the day?

Somebody needs to bust a cap in that... cap.

I'd contact FLAMING managment & threaten them to wear it out in public.

I'd pay you 20 bucks just to destroy it & post it on youtube for all of us to see & laugh with joy.

WOWIE-WOOW-WAH Eek

I actually feel sorry for that cap. It's like an ugly toy that nobody would ever want to play with.

Frown

I hope it finds a good home where somebody will love it unconditionally. I highly doubt they'll wear it in public though. I bet it looks a lot better just sitting in the closet.

anyone remember record flats? Promo posters made from stripped LP covers? I used to hound every record shop owner for these things and posters in the 80's. Once employed by a record store myself, everything i could get my grubby hands on went home with me.
small collection of FLips FLats: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i276/creepy_craig/DCP_0011.jpg

searching thru my crap for posters.... Mad
and somewhere I've got a WB promo VHS I need to transfer w/ a bunch of good vids on it including the Letterman appearance and 90210.
