I heard somewhere that Michael was going to release just a record of him doin bass lines & singing "Boo-Boo, boo boo boo BOO boo. Boo-Boo-BOO boo boo"

You can't take much of anything that book says at face value. I'm not going to go into it, but the amount of errors and just plain inaccuracies in that book are mind boggling. As I said before, it's just his voice.
