How long did you listen to that first tracklisting?

I couldn't get into the album for weeks, I thought everyone who was raving about it was nuts. Then I got the official copy with the real tracklisting, and since then I can't listen to it without playing all the way through. It changed everything.

Well, the FIRST tracklisting is the same except for "Choco Fight" was the second song on it. The rest was the same. The tracklisting that was written on the folder that was holding the map was one they were thinking of using. I listened to it twice and told them it wasn't as good as the other one. Someone at their label said the same thing, so they changed it back.

Thank goodness for that! I feel slightly less crazy now. Thanks

Hi Kliph-

Like others on this bored, I've been introduced to the wonderful and amazing sounds of the Super Furry Animals and Deerhoof thanks to you. Are there other bands recording now that you'd rank with these two? (The Flaming Lips and Gorky's I already love, so they don't count.)

Thanks!

No. I think Deerhoof and Super Furry Animals are the two best bands out there right now. But, having said that, I really love Midlake and Danielson and think they both made really amazing albums last year. I tend to mostly listen to old stuff, I guess. I've been on a Van Der Graaf Generator kick the last week or so.

Hey, I went to the Dallas show in...September(?) I think. Anyway, it was the one with the fucked up venue with Matisyahu and some punk band...Street Drum Corps. I was just wondering if any of you guys talked to them or what you thought about it.

Yeah, I talked to some of those Street Drum Corps guys and several of the guys from Matisyahu's band (and Matisyahu himself) and they were all really, super nice. I thought the venue was weird and sounded kinda shitty.

What is your opinion of Animal Collective? I've just recently gotten into them, despite many recommendations from friends, and I'm pretty darn impressed. So far, I've just listened to Sung Tongs

What do you think of Gruff Rhys' solo stuff? I happen to love it, but everyone around me is getting sick of me looping Candylion.

I heard one of their records a couple of records ago and didn't dig it too much. I haven't heard anything since.

I love his solo stuff, especially Candylion, but, yeah, my roommates asked me to give it a rest too.

No. It's kinda low on the list of priorities - somewhere below the live DVD and "Christmas On Mars."

Disregarding musical genres originating in the last hundred or so years, what region of the world makes your favorite music. As in if you were to fill in the phrase of "I like the folk music of _______", what region or country would you fill in?

I like "South Park" about half the time. I've been slowly coming around to the American version of "The Office." I was hoping the new Sarah Silverman show would be good, but I saw most of an episode the other night and didn't think much of it. I don't have cable at the moment, so I don't really see much t.v. I've never seen or heard of "The Mighty Boosh."

Wales. I guess. I only listen to stuff made in the last 100 years and mostly the last 50.

I do believe so. I haven't heard of any plans (or even thoughts) of getting rid of the dancers.

Do you guys have plans to incorporate more unplayed/not usually played Mystics songs into the next leg of the tour (The Sound Of Failure, The Wizard Turns On, It Overtakes Me, Mr. Ambulance Driver, Haven't Got A Clue, Pompeii or Goin' On)?

Kliph, I've always wondered... do you sit and listen to a Flaming Lips album at home as much as you used to? Or has touring with the band affected how much you listen to them? And do Wayne, Michael and Steven ever actually listen to their own records?

Your the luckiest dude alive.
