All I really know of him is old White Zombie stuff. I'm not much of a fan. I did help them load in when they played the Outhouse in 1992 and they were all really sweet, but, yeah, I don't really dig the music and I haven't kept up with his solo albums or his movies.

I only listen really to white zombie stuff also. But i do have to say that his movies are great. You should really watch House of a thousand Corpses. Smile

And refer to it, as the same type of following?
Do you like The Grateful Dead? Smile

Ps. You kick serious Ass Kliph.

Well, each festival is different and some are more enjoyable than others. That being said, I don't enjoy festivals as much as our own shows because we have to set up and start playing so quickly and they don't feel as comfortable and relaxed as when we're doing our own shows. But I do love playing, so I'll take any opportunity I can get. And, yes, I've run into plenty of smelly hippies. And it doesn't bother me when people compare us to the Grateful Dead. I don't see any similarities there (with the exception of the singer having a greying beard), but all that shit is subjective and everybody's going to have their own take on it. And, no, I don't like the Grateful Dead. And thanks for the compliment.

The Grateful Dead, are one of my favorite bands.
I never made any kind of connection between the Lips and them ...or for that fact even heard of anything like that .. Until this year when i overheard many of people talking about the fact that G.D. fans and Flaning Lips fans are somewhat the same. In the fact that you have people that follow you guys, dress up, ect. And feel as though they personally know the band. Which all made since to me once i heard it. And i somewhat agree.

On another note here kliph. What do you think about playing mainly festivals? A gig's a gig right? Which one is your favorite?
Do you like The violent Femmes? And did you ever find the girl from the Skeleton March that you kept bumping into?

I think I've said it before, but I don't enjoy playing festivals as much as our own shows because we have to hurry and throw our stuff up on stage and start playing even if it sounds shitty on stage or our stuff isn't working 100% right. But there are tradeoffs. Sometimes we get to see and/or hang out with some really cool bands that we probably wouldn't get to otherwise. Favorite festival? I don't know....Glastonbury was really cool.....Sasquatch was pretty awesome....Wakarusa was special to me because it's 15 minutes from my house. And I'm not a fan of Violent Femmes, but they were really nice when I met them. And I don't recall which girl you're talking about from the Halloween parade.

It's pretty ugly, but I wouldn't mind having it just to add to my collection of stuff.

It's called Tokyo. It's seriously just about the best sushi I've had outside of Japan and it's really consistently great too. It's way up on Western - around 82nd or so. Sushi Neko is also good. I don't like their fish as much as Tokyo, but they're open later, so they're good if practice runs late or something.

Other cool places? The Conservatory is a great place to see shows. It's even further up Western - around 120th, I think. And the record store next to it is awesome. And there's another good record store at 36th and Western called Guestroom.

No, I've never been sockeyed. I always properly dispose of the "evidence" once I'm finished.

Safe travels to you and the rest of the crew.

Just a bit of English sarcasm really Kliph; I was only really looking from neck down. Sorry I'm not now a proud owner of your drum-stick; I didn't realise you only reply to posts that are actually a question; therefore, do you know of any proposed Lips gigs in London? I guess there are so many festivals to get done before-hand?
