I hope they do not remaster this record, or any other WB release. Hit to Death in the Future Head is a flawless documentation of a band in their prime. To change the sound and/or to add outtakes, bonus songs, etc., damages that perfect documentation. It makes it something it wasn't.

The constant need to "have it now" and to "have more of it;" to constantly wring every drop of blood from a recording is disheartening. Hit to Death in the Future Head is perfect as it stands.

Do you feel that The Day They Shot A Hole in the Jesus Egg diminished (or "damaged") the brilliance of In A Priest Driven Ambulance?

I can see that if you just pop the CD in and listen to it. Sometimes the bonus tracks spoil the finality that should come with the close of the album.

But I never listen to the CDs anymore. I load all my music on the computer, and it's easy to assign the bonus stuff a separate album title so I can just listen to the album proper if I want. I ended up doing that with the Acid and Jesus Egg comps.

It's a fabulous and complete compilation of the songs from the late 80's - early 90's, but it is not a reworking of In a Priest Driven Ambulance. It exists as its own entity.

That shit at the end of Soft Bulletin pisses me off. The album ENDS after Sleeping in the Roof! I don't want any remixes! Fuck that shit!

I hardly think remastering for the first time a CD that came out 17 years ago is 'wringing every drop of blood' from it. Above anything I'd be interested in having a 12" copy of the artwork with a juicy pink or orange vinyl tucked inside.
